SENTIERO CAI 534: NESE - LONNO - SALMEZZA
The trail starts in Nese (a hamlet of Alzano Lombardo) on Via G. Marconi, at the characteristic staircase known as the “Cento Gradini” (limited parking nearby). It then continues along an asphalt road, first passing villas and small hamlets, then entering a dense broadleaf forest. Upon reaching the village of Lonno (Nembro), it intersects trails 532 and 535 (to shorten the route and avoid a stretch of asphalt uphill, it is possible to park in the small square of the village). After crossing the village (with signage located in the square and at main junctions), the route continues along a pleasant mid-slope path on the western side of Mount Podona, through coppice woodland and uncultivated areas, until reaching the hamlet of Salmezza, likely the birthplace of the 16th-century painter Enea Salmeggia.
